aMEND concentrates on the existing beauty, form, and craftsmanship in old and discarded pieces of furniture. These once redundant pieces are lovingly transformed with a contemporary twist, in what can only be described as a colourful blend of decades. The collection consists of a range of furniture and lighting.

Window Series takes existing pieces of furniture and gives them a new
colour to unify them all whilst retaining a section of each in its
original state by leaving a 'window' thrugh which the history of the
object can still be seen. Window Series aims to highlight the history of
an object by celebrating its scratches and imperfections as containers
of memory.
Details: Reclaimed chairs and table, new upholstery and hardwearing 3 part paint.

The Make Do and Mend series draws on times when attitudes towards possessions were different from those of today. A time when people would sew up holes in their socks, or patch up torn clothes instead of tossing them aside and purchasing new ones.

A collaboration with graphic artist Joanne Davies aka. Napoleons Wife.
Nazim is
from the new 'personals' series in
which the object is accompanied by the details of its previous owner and
locality. This cabinet is covered in writings by Nazim, a teenager living in
Hackney. From song lyrics to Shakespeare, to diary entries, this is a snippet
into someone else's life. In order to ensure that the cabinet can be
reintroduced into another person's home, a pattern was created from photographs
of the garden it was found in, and is screen-printed over the surface to
partially cover the writings. Each layer of this cabinet now tells a story,
from the scratches, to Nazim's writing, to the screen-printed pattern. Along
with the cabinet you get a transcription of the writings.

Geiser is from the new 'Personals' series in which the object is accompanied by the details of its previous owner and locality.
This circa 1920s chair, belonged to a man named Geiser, who had previously been living with it in his North London squat. It has had a long life so far and has undergone many changes since its original creation. In its latest redesign it has been given new upholstery, and the markings in the wood have been oiled as a way of bringing out the beauty in their history, rather than trying to remove all traces of them.
