The house is a simple linear layout with a clear segregation between public and private areas. The bedrooms are clustered off a corridor so as to give them maximum privacy and each of them overlooks the pool area or the landscape court, while the living and the drawing room opens out to the large garden in the front. Thus, the layout of the structure ensures views of the pool and lawns from all parts of the house at both the levels. There is nothing quite like the show stopping landscape blended with the water bodies that grace our vision as we step into the site.
Ample natural light floods through the house. Moreover, fenestrations were applied as a function of climate and orientation to ensure the comfort of each space in winter as well as in summer. The overhangs and the verandahs are designed so as to achieve maximum shaded sit-outs to take pleasure of the external landscape and also provide privacy to the residents. The house oozes simplicity and richness through its design and attention to details.
The décor of the house is minimal and bare with no superficial decoration. However expediently placed art pieces lends a touch of sophistication to the house.
The material palette is a mix of both modern and natural materials like brick, wood, steel channels etc each complimenting the other in its own way. Overall, the contemporary character of the house is strongly reinforced by its form, landscaped spaces, minimal elements and an open intersection.
