This is a 3BHK sea view apartment at Navi Mumbai located at plush society called Palm Beach Residency of Wadhwas The total area is 1800 sq.ft. Client requirements included spaciousness with lots of storage spaces.
Design concept is contemporary with a touch of ethnicity to it.The most important feature of the project is the Verandah! its a semi open space outside the apartment converted into a cozy garden for informal gatherings for a family of 6. Verandahs are always a part of bungalows in Indian context.
There are quiet a few design elements crafted and created here to uplift the beauty of design. For example, main door handle is made out of an wooden artifact of an owl. This same door has a MS laser cut jali designed by us and implemented in a different manner. Shutters of TV unit consists of a fabric wall paper and decals. Wardrobe in parents room has a Persian wallpaper with glass. Dining table is made out of laser-cut jali. Coffee table in Verandah is refurbished in a left over piece of wallpaper. Master bed has a level of play for a bed and window seating. All light fixtures were chosen to act as an artifact. They are carefully crafted metal pieces from Orange Tree. Dining console has an artist hand painted Aztec design in golden color. Upholstery is from D'decor which accentuates the color palette completely due the choices of fabrics.
