The name highlights the double identity of the activity of the studio: part of it is focused on research and part of it is focused on product design and graphic communication.
Research entails a continuous study of new trends, new materials and technologies, as well as the creation of scenarios for firms and concept implementation which stretches to the creation of prototypes featuring technological and functional contents. Product design is mainly focussed on homeware, where the development of the projects is carried out starting from the brief until the preliminary product engineering, through trial models and prototypes. The graphic communication aspect is mainly dedicated to the interface study, where the aesthetical result is also a consequence of usability improvement. The intention to maintain within the studio a strong presence of research encourages relationships with universities, with whom both Monica and Carlo cooperate. The relationship with students continues also without the school through summer workshops which have lead to the creation of "Spazio 75cm", a lab within the studio, which is independent from any specific appointment and provides a limitless creative space.
