A new foreign investor bought a house in a prime area of Lisbon, intending to spend several months of the year here with his family and other times with his work team while creating 3 new companies in Portugal. He asked our company to create a luxury apartment, which could not only be to receive his family in a family environment, but also able to receive his management team for long periods while setting up the new companies they will create in Portugal, in a formal and almost hotel environment. His favorite color is blue and he asked us to adapt as much as possible where we could, and to pay special attention to the rooms that would be used by him as well as his wife and daughter. Having chosen a floral fabric from the new Designers Guild collection for the master bedroom, we did our best to keep it minimalist and formal so that it could be used for other visitor as well. In the daughter's room we had a similar situation which, although the room would be for her, it also had to be used as a TV room, the client requested it be a room with sofa bed. Another request was to pay special attention to the corridor, and to adapt the corridor that was small and dark into a fun environment, as it would have much use. So we chose to use mirrors, enlarging the size and doubling the light. A new glass door was placed preventing the sound from passing from the living room to the corridor but freeing the space between them. As a fun factor, we made use of an abstract and artistic painting that gave movement and created a surprise effect for those who enter the corridor, decorated with artistic photographs of the city of Lisbon. The guest room which also had to be an office, would be the only room with a workspace. In the kitchen, we have opted for a monochromatic look by choosing a modern zigzag pattern in hydraulic tiles to match the choice of chairs, which serves as the second dining room if the main dining room is being used for other functions, such as work meetings. The bathrooms have remained minimalist with an elegant, with an almost hotel look.
