From its Federal Style-Wing to its Neo-Classical yet Traditionally Contemporary Barn with Bedrooms and Living room blends a century of Indian Country Heritage into a single Transcendent whole.Creative Group Architects created the traditional cum contemporary landmark, but it is all rustic and rugged, yet sophisticated about this country-Side Property which is the Second Home to the Shah’s. This barn-conversion design is somewhat of a Local Landmark.When the Shah’s, bought their 18th-century farmhouse a few years ago, it was a bucolic mess: The two-story rectangular structure constituted rather crude living quarters, with a dirt-floor larder and heat provided by potbelly stoves. Fortunately, they had the talents of the ‘Creative’ Architects that turned this place upside-down.Located on a city plot, this modern farmhouse by ‘Creative Group’ Architects was designed in five parts—a thicket of Arecaecea; a timber cabinet; a vitrine of timber framed glass; a loggia of steel columns supporting a perforate metal canopy and a concrete reflecting pool, as described by Ar.Gurpreet S.Shah. The contemporary design replaces the original farmhouse, an old, run-down eyesore in dire need for a total tear-down.
