Located in Kharadi, Pune, the cafeterias were designed for the working population at EON Information Technology Free Zone. They were assigned to us by Panchshil Realty. The SEZ project is a connection of four “PODS” on a central courtyard with a 3,000 square meter cafeteria for each POD.

At Eon Free Zone, work luncheon catering is given utmost importance. To strike the right balance, a multi-vendor system is employed.

The interior is inspired by modern minimalism with an industrial twist. Big impressive buildings with lots of space and hard materials, which are still keeping a welcoming atmosphere for the occupants. The layout also kept in mind a swift fire evacuation plan. All café areas can be evacuated within 10 minutes.

We used visual barrier walls and planters to create intimate small group sections in the large space, all around the dessert and snack bar counters. Connecting the seating areas are spacious corridors serving as another division between the public and staff. The existing services of the ceiling were treated, but kept exposed adding to expanse of space and lowering costs that in turn lowered food costs.

The food counters, dish cleaning and coupon counters are placed around the perimeter to achieve maximum seating capacity. Most materials used are vandal resistant, fire resistant and long lasting.

The result is a bright and welcoming space of great simplicity, with added eccentricity of colored tiles on the flooring and ceiling defining food counters and corridors.
