There are no rules governing what is appropriate when it comes to glassware, so why not add a little charm and individuality, and of course, a regal disposition to your dining room setting with golden goblets like pictured!
Shahen Mistry Architects are the team responsible for this muted, yet modern dining room setting. There are many features to point out in this image. The back wall, is cleverly covered in black and silver wallpaper in a bamboo tree design. This feature is complemented further by the chairs, which if you look closely, have an elegant silver leaf pattern painted onto the back. On top of this, the crystal chandeliers, which are a must have for any ethereal room, add that extra finishing touch of spice to an already luminous room. The tableware reflects and complements the rest of the décor to complete an exceptionally executed space.
It is not often that we see a rug underneath a dining room table, but it works to great effect. Giving the space a more casual feel, a dining room need not be a formal state of affairs. If you prefer to chill out with friends and set up an easy-going table, you can achieve all this if you use this example from Neeras Design Studio as inspiration. Reminiscent of a room in the sixties, you can see the colour palette gives off a retro vibe. Down to the very smallest of details, from the modernist chairs, to the lacquered sideboard, this room screams mid-century charm like no other. If you look to the top of the image, you will also see a cascading crystal light. You can just imagine the effect when light hits this piece—refracting and scattering a charming touch of colour to a muted space.
