It can sometimes be a real challenge to build a home in a densely populated city that  can still breathe, still has plenty of space, and provides absolute tranquility. Yet the master architects at Mariangel Coghlan have somehow managed to create such a home.

We find this home in the densely populated metropolis of Mexico City. Stylish and open, this home meets all of our expectations and then some. Keep scrolling and see for yourself!

Street view

The main façade of the home stays hidden behind high walls and a large door. In this way, the private sphere of the residents is protected from the strongly frequented street.

Nevertheless, one realized from this perspective that the introverted and closed façade veils a modern, linear piece of architecture, which offers with certainty a large amount of comfort and style.

View from the garden

The view from the opposite side of the structure is an entirely different image. Here, the house opens up with enormous windows, which allows plenty of sunlight in during the day while also aiding in lighting the back yard later. The extensive terrace is also covered by a roof, so that even on hot summer days, it retains a cool temperature in the shade.

Opulent interior

The inside of the house offers the residents a refined mixture of modern design, classic elegance, and pure luxury.

Here we see the living room, which is painted in a soft blue grey and outfitted with comfortable upholstered furniture with eclectic touches. Even though this area was fashioned with a classy design scheme, it certainly doesn't compromise the warm and quiet atmosphere.

Eat-in kitchen

Making our way into the kitchen, we notice a nice eat-in dining area made from black and brown speckled marble.

The white interior is illuminated by natural light, thanks to the plentiful windows, and every modern kitchen feature is included.

The bedroom

Even the bedroom conveys a sense of elegance without overstimulation. Here, we have a minimalist setup with few decoration and nice, cool earth tones and neutrals which perfectly complement each other.

The result is a restful oasis that only promises relaxation. It just goes to show you that even in the most metropolitan area, like Mexico City, you can still have a restful, calming, private space.
