Refurbishing a home may be thought to be cumbersome. However, with the help of interior architects, you can change and update the look of your home quite easily. You can either renovate the entire house or just a bedroom like a client has done here. Vastu is a science, and if followed carefully, it can bring happiness and peace within the home.
This bedroom has been planned and modified by Chaitali Shah according to the principles of Vastu, within a budget of Rs. 2,00,000. According to Vastu, the rooms within the home must radiate the right energy. The energy can be a result of several things, such as the arrangement of the furniture and the direction in which each element is placed. This bedroom has been rearranged and designed by following a few basic principles of Vastu, and it has resulted in a room that not only looks elegant but also radiates positive energy.
The home needed changes, and the client was particular that the wardrobe and the bed should be reused. Considering this, the architects have reworked the entire look and arrangement. It is essential to understand the link between spaces and the healing art of Vastu. The pre-existing energy field needed to be adjusted to suit the needs of the homeowner, thereby bringing in good vibes and positive energy. The first and foremost thing that you will notice in the room is that the bed has been relocated to the centre of the room. Additionally, it has been placed to face the south, to allow the homeowners to enjoy a good night’s rest.
Since the wood colour was not going to be changed, it was critical to design the décor theme and colours around it. The room enhances the warmth of the natural material with a wood floor added to accentuate the beauty of the space. Besides, using a wood floor always brings warmth into any room. A closer look at the bed reveals its small and intricate details. The headboard has been designed to suit modern needs. Switchboards and drawers on either side of the bed make it a smart place. A few nightlamps can be added to facilitate reading in bed. By keeping the furnishing simple and elegant, the beauty of the wood has been further accentuated.
The wall that currently faces the bed is in the North. It originally featured the wardrobes, but since Vastu required the wall in this direction to be free, the architects have moved them to the other wall. As a result, you can see that the room has been split into two sections. Further, the large mirror was shifted to the wardrobe area situated behind the bed. The windows have been decorated with a simple yet elegant set of fabric blinds, which adds to the beauty and elegance of the room.
