The reason why summer is scary is not just because of heat wave. Summer pests such as mosquitoes and flies that sneak into the house as well as infest the outdoors are genuine summer enemies that cause a variety of large and small sicknesses. It is almost dangerous to assume that it is safe even if it is inside the house. Let's not forget that pest infiltration is more than you imagine. In order to make our home safe from pests, careful attention and effort are needed. Today, let's look at eight ways to create a healthy, pleasant home that will block out pests in the summer.

1. Easy and reliable first step: Insect screen

The first way to stop mosquitoes and flies is by inserting screens on the windows. Also make sure to check the existing insect screen carefully to see if there is any damage. Even a very small gap is enough for mosquitoes and flies to come in. If the line is stretched and the hole is enlarged or there is a gap in the corner, fix it immediately. Do not worry, there are some products that are flexible and can fit triangular or even rectangular windows.

2. Upgraded insect screens: Insect gates

It is surprising that many people do not think that it is possible to add an insect control door to a door, though many people know how to screen the window. But sneaky pests do not miss even a moment when one person opens the door. Especially, if you are in a house with a terrace and you go in and out frequently, you should be aware that there are quite a lot of pests waiting at the terrace door. Door screens are equipped with doors, hinges, folding doors, and magnets, so that the door can be easily opened and closed by people.

3. Block all gaps

There is a small gap in the wall, a gap between the wall and the window, a gap between the doors and the ventilator as well. Make sure that the gap is sealed with silicone, and put some incense sticks or insecticide around the ventilator. 4. Remove food waste

Neglecting food waste is one way of attracting insects actively. Flies like to lay eggs in the food waste in the garbage, and they may be a hotbed to reproduce insects. In the hot and humid summer months, food waste must be removed or quickly dried. Even if the fruit is not damaged, note that the fruit flies will appear quickly when left at room temperature. If you do not remove the source, the problem will continue even if you try to kill the pests. Beware of vases, sewers and pollen where insects can lay eggs and larvae can breed. The habitat of eggs and larvae must be disinfected and wiped from time to time to eradicate flies and mosquitoes in the house.

6. Special Spray

Insects hate cinnamon and lemon scents. Sprinkle water, lemon juice, and chrysanthemum flower extracts in a sprayer and scatter them all over the house, or sprinkle the aforementioned on larvae where they usually breed to stop mosquitoes and prevent reproduction. 7. Natural air fresheners which prevent mosquitoes

There are a lot of fragrances already on the market to fight mosquitoes. But for health reasons, or if you have a baby, you might be worried about using chemicals. In that case, let's take advantage of the bark of orange and lemon. The dried orange and lemon peels should be dried in the sunlight, put in the directional pocket, and put in the house, the mosquitoes will be repelled. It is also a good idea to burn it in a candle.
