Our living room irrespective of its size is a place for relaxation and entertainment. The first thing that gives pleasure to our eyes and mind is the colour of the space. Choose neutral and subtle shades for the living room. Light colours make the room feel spacious and serene.

2. Attraction from above

Explore the vertical space and gently cajole the eyes of the guests to look beyond the limitation of space. If there is not much of floor space to decorate, decorate it from above. But again, remember less is more. Don’t overdo it. Keep it simple, it will look elegant.

3. Mirror… the most sought after trick

It’s tried and tested formula that most designers use, to create an illusion of roominess by strategically placing the mirror in the living room. To create a perfect ambience, place the mirror behind the light source, either a hanging pendant lamps or floor lamps like it is done here. The result will be mesmerizing.

Small space demands you to be creative and give attention to little details to make the best out of it. Instead of just having any furniture, bring home the multi-functional furniture. Believe us, small or big, multi-functional furniture comes handy and useful in any home.

6. Dressing up the window

Sometimes traditional ideas can come to the rescue in modern décor. Instead of choosing fancy blinds to cover the windows, go with the flow of the drapes and dress up the windows with cloth curtains. Long drapes will draw attention to the vertical space and create an illusion of roominess.

7. Customize the size of furniture
