Design click designed the Vice Chancellor Bungalows in Ahmadabad, featured here. This firm is a team of talented Interior Architects and based in the city of Ahmadabad. These talented designers came up with a very elegant and chic layout that reflected the prominence of the home and of the person living in it. It is simple, effective, welcoming but composed at the same time. So what are we waiting for, let’s take a tour of the bungalow.
As we can see, the ceiling design has bee kept simple and elegant. There is no room for clutter here. Since the bungalow is where the vice chancellor lives, it has to be quietly elegant, and not loud at all. In terms of design, they have used tow colours to highlight the ceiling, and multiple lights to create a warm atmosphere.
The layout of the living room is balanced on both sides of the room. The design shows a slightly Indian touch. The living area is quite large, since the vice chancellor needs to accommodate multiple guests at his residence at the same time. Keeping this in mind, sufficient seating has been provided to help with the daily utilisation of this room.
The actual view of the living room is even more breath taking and beautiful than the design. The flooring is entirely hardwood. We love the Indian style rugs on the floor. The flooring seems like wooden planks are laid out to create the floor, however, this is just the effect. The designers have made sure the flooring is smooth so that no one trips over. The rugs are placed perfectly on two sides of the room, leaving some space in the middle in case someone does walk in wearing shoes. We love the idea of using two similar sized rugs instead of just one giant rug. Two rugs of this size are also easier to clean.
The lighting is elaborate but not over the top. There are small lights fitted across the ceiling. However, the highlight is the chandelier style lamp in the centre. It is made of metal and consists of smaller bulbs fitted together. The lamp has been designed in order to make sure the design of the ceiling remains undisturbed. The middle square in the ceiling contains the chandelier, while the squares on both sides have a fan. This symmetry is beautiful.
The furniture details are fantastic. From the wall-mounted TV to the shelves fitted above and below it, we love every thing about this room. The centre tables are elegant and made of polished wood and glass, the classic combination that never goes out of style.
There is a ton of artwork on the walls as well, which tell us a lot about the current owner’s taste. The artwork is colourful, which creates a beautiful contrast with the muted colour scheme of the entire room. The beige sofas are highlighted by the rust throwpillows, which look fabulous and match perfectly with the colour of the sofas. An elegant and artistic living room design in Surat
