Although the kitchen is one of the more common spaces for tiles, it's a good place to start thinking about how tiles can be used creatively to decorate the kitchen as well as protect the walls and make for easy cleaning. As you can see in the example pictured here, the irregularity of the tiles and the detailed pictures on just a few makes the kitchen more visually interesting. You can also opt for a mosaic of multi-coloured tiles if that's more of your style. The tip is basically to use a few different types of tiles. You can also experiment with combining different textures of kitchen tiles together. For more inspiration, check out our article titled modern tiles for a contemporary kitchen.

On the other hand, tiles can be easily cleaned up in case of any accidental spills. Another great idea is to get custom-made tiles with pictures of deities or various traditional patterns can also be bought easily to be used for the pooja unit.

5. Create a niche space with wall tiles

Last but not least, wall tiles can also be used to create a niche space in the living room for example, as pictured here. As you can see, it also creates a visual separation of two different areas that share the same space with the niche area being the pooja space and the rest of the room being the living room.
