The immensely talented architects at Architecture Continuous in Bangalore have designed the Garden Residence. The designers have seamlessly blended Indian traditions with modern design concepts. This is visible in every nook and cranny of the home. From muted colours, to solid wood furniture, everything about this home seems right. Let’s take a look.
The outer view of the home is fantastic. It looks like a home rom the future, with its rounded edges and the metallic designer balcony and main gate. The overall colour pallet of the house veers towards white and cream, and this is visible in the exterior s well. The elevation shows us that there are two storeys.
The entryway is beautifully decorated with an idol of Lord Buddha. The backdrop for the idol is a wall with elegant bricks painted with a cream or white colour. The designers have made sure the landscaping is done properly in order to allow the plants to flourish. The roof design is also quite elegant, and casts shadows on the ground, protecting the area from direct sunlight.
The best part about the kitchen is that a set of double doors leads into the backyard. This is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for those who love having access to their kitchen garden. And who doesn’t want to relax in the garden with a steaming cup of coffee or tea? The flooring uses simple cream tiles, which is just perfect for this layout. This layout andz design is also great because it allows the light to come into the kitchen.
The open space contains both the kitchen and the dining area. Despite the fact that there is a kitchen island in this space, there is a ton of open area. The kitchen table is a sturdy piece made of dark wood. The kitchen island is topped with black granite and has a sturdy base covered with wooden laminate. The fridge is place on one side, while the microwave oven is fitted into the wall to avoid wasting space.
The kitchen is modern and is home to every single appliance required to make cooking easy and efficient. From here, we see the stove on the kitchen island, accompanied by a state of the art chimney. There is storage space in the kitchen island as well. That, combined with the wall-mounted cabinets, leaves a lot of room in the kitchen to store all the extra utensils, table linen and crockery.
The living area looks out into the entryway. It is simple, elegant and classy. The area is not cluttered with unnecessary pieces and unnecessary furniture. There is a nice sofa, with two armchairs. The colourful throw pillows and the Indian inspired artwork look right at home here. The centre table and the rug rate a perfect match for the room. The entryway is fitted with curtains, which are thick enough to shut out the light in case one needs a nap.while the lighting takes the experience to the next level.8 small kitchen designs for Indian homes.
