An online blog is the easiest, cheapest and the best way to brand yourself in the present day world. If you are planning to start a blog, be consistent and dedicated. Not only the number of posts per day but, the occasions, specific seasons also play a big role in achieving results. Now that you have decided to start a personal video blog, it's important for you to know that video blogging is a lot more than just speaking in front of the camera. In a video blog, not only the content, but the humor, commentary, location, lighting, sound, audio and background also play an equally important role in fetching a huge number of views. Infact, a video blog helps you to connect with your viewers in the best possible way.  So get your ideas together, go through our suggestions and get excited to produce some of the best work of your life!

If you are waiting to get your home redesigned soon to have a personal blogging and vlogging space, this ideabook is sure to help you with many new and innovative ideas to have one. Let's begin.

Blogger Space / Blog Room

Most of the vloggers record their videos in their home office for it is convenient for most of them to shoot indoors.  Shooting at home by all ways, gives the video a personal touch. You can convert your bedroom or any part of the room as a Blogger space/ Blog room, but keep in mind it should look like a professional office. If you are shooting at home or in your bedroom, make sure there is enough natural light. As a lot of bloggers and vloggers work in partnerships or pairs, it’s always a good idea to provide comfortable seating for yourself and maybe a small-to-medium-sized sofa to accommodate at least two to three other people as well. White interiors with subtle and minimalist decor will best suit a blogger's need. Most importantly, whenever you are in your Blog room or at the homework place, make sure the place is a little secluded so that you are not disturbed by other family members while the CAM is on.

Tidiness

An untidy background will always call for distraction! Instead of paying attention to what you are saying, viewers will focus more on the background. In simple words, no one would want to see a video with a messy background. No matter what location you choose at your home, the background should not show a bed full of clothes, scattered papers on the desk, spilled coffee etc. A cluttered space makes a cluttered mind, which reduces the creativity. A blogging space should inspire you for creativity. The  work space shown above has everything you could possibly need to work – a desktop computer, scanner, printer, and copier – yet the space feels impeccably clean. We suggest that you keep the work space rather minimal in accessories and decor, as these items can quickly clog up the desk and wall space for project supplies.

Perfect lighting

Lighting is as important as the camera. If you are recording indoors, the most important thing is to ensure the light is in front of you and not behind the camera. Shoot near the door or the window where there is ample sunlight. Even while shooting in the natural sunlight, the camera should back the sunlight.  If there are any unwanted shadows, then use a reflector to fill in.  During night time, it is better to have a backup of LED lights attached to the camera or any stands. If you can’t invest in LED lights, then use your normal household lights while shooting.  Whatever light option you use—sunlight or artificial light, never mix both of them as the video blog may not seem that attractive then. The wore space design shown above has been designed by standal, interior designers from Spain.

Space for taking photographs

Today, blogs without photographs are not appreciated much and every blogging platform has made it easy to take/upload quick images. These days you can record high quality videos and capture photographs using your smartphone as well. For interesting and inspiring photographs for your blog, you don’t need any professional photographer. All you need to follow is, the right photography tips.  You can take photographs on a white table or on any decorative and sophisticated platform. Keep some props near the items which are to be photographed. The table in this example is perfect – of course, you will have to adjust the sizes of tables and walls you need if you tend to shoot large items and projects. Take the photographs from different angles, as this will give your customers / viewers a better idea about the image/ product. Take both full-size and close-up images. Finally, you can edit the photos using photo editor or you can crop the unwanted background and can adjust as per your blog.

Space for making videos

Before shooting, make sure your room is neat and tidy and absolutely ready for the video. There should be creativity in the blogger space and the designing themes in space should be according to the vlog. Dress the room in such a way that reflects your video blog’s content. You can even choose outdoor locations for a better view. But make sure that the place is not messy and noisy.  Check out the other vloggers and Youtube videos online and find out their vlogging locations. You may find that they hardly change their location in every video. If you continue shooting under the same roof or same space with the same camera angle and lighting, it will be convenient for the viewers. The blue background in the image with the comfortable and sleek couch looks great.

Extraordinary specials: creative wallpapers

If you’re looking to add a burst of colours or a statement piece to your blogging zone, you should definitely think about creative wallpapers. Textured wallpapers, fabric wall papers and local paper designer wallpapers made by artists are some of the amazing ways to add a professional feel to your room! Apparently, wallpapers, if designed on the theme of the work field you belong to, can work wonders. These can actually set your work space apart, make you feel enthused and most significantly, be discussion starters! With all this talk about the functional design aspects of your office, we will not forget to make the design space beautiful!

A functional desk for post-production

One of the major significant aspects while working from home is that you have a multi useful desk.  It will not matter how big or small your office space is, as long as you have a desk that allows you versatility and mobility, your success rate of work will be amazing. Think about drawers with compartmental divides, hooks for hanging supplies and cabinetry for larger supplies like tripods, vbatteries, cords, and many more; If you have easily reached places for everything you require to vlog/blog, then you will be setting yourself up for success when it comes to organization, cleanliness and productivity.

Vlogging is like, letting the world know about your views and getting connected with them like a guide and posting informative videos on a regular basis. For better results, invest in the latest tools/equipment and get more subscribers to your blog. Finally, after creating a blog, don’t forget the power of social media, as through social media only, you may get subscribers and millions of followers. Happy Blogging to you!
