If you want a modern and industrial looking wall lamp, I'll teach how to make one that is perfect for this style. This is very cheap and all the materials are easy to find.

Step 1: List of materials

  • Electric saw
  • Electric screwdriver
  • 3 wood screws
  • Wood drill
  • 90 cm piece of wood (I'm using a 2 x 4,5 cm slat)
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Set square

Step 2: Measure and cut

Measure and cut the wood strips into three pieces of varying lengths - 37cm, 27cm and 25 cm.

Step 3: Mark the angled cuts

Use a set square and mark the angled cuts on the 27cm piece.

Step 4: Cut the 27cm piece

Use the saw to cut along the measured angle on the 27cm piece.

Step 5: Start assembling the pieces together

Now, it's time to put it together!

Step 6: Screw the smallest and the largest pieces together

Screw together the 37cm and the 25 cm piece as shown.

Step 7: Fix the last piece

Fix the angled 27cm to complete the bracket.

Step 8: Drill the last holes

Drill holes into the longest piece to make it easy to fix on the wall.

Step 9: Fix it to the wall

The bracket is now ready for suspending a hanging light or a lampshade.
